Beef and Pepperoni Skillet Calzone

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup diced pepperoni
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning, divided
  • 1 (15-oz) already rolled out pizza dough
  • 1 (24-oz) jar marinara sauce, divided
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Cook beef and pepperoni in a 9-inch cast-iron skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly. Drain and transfer beef mixture to a bowl. Stir in 2 tsp seasoning. Wipe skillet clean, and lightly grease skillet.
  2. Divide dough in half. Stretch half of dough on bottom and up sides of skillet. Spread ½ cup marinara over dough. Top with meat mixture; sprinkle with cheese.
  3. Top with remaining dough, crimping edges of dough together. Cut 3 slits in top; brush with melted butter and sprinkle with remaining seasoning.
  4. Bake 25 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with remaining marinara sauce.

  • 1 (18-oz) pkg premium romaine salad
  • ½ (5-oz) pkg seasoned croutons
  • ¼ cup Italian dressing

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toss together all ingredients in a large bowl just before serving.
