Filipino Melon Drink

Ingredients
- 1½ cups water
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cantaloupe
- 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Chill 30 minutes or until ready to use.
- Meanwhile, slice cantaloupe, discarding peel and seeds. Grate cantaloupe slices on the large holes of a box grater.
- Combine grated cantaloupe and sugar mixture in a pitcher. Pour cantaloupe mixture into ice-filled glasses. Pour about 2 Tbsp sweetened condesed milk over mixture in each glass before serving.
