Maui Onion Dip

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 sweet onions, thinly sliced
- 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
- ½ cup buttermilk
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 (14-oz) bag kettle chips
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions, and cook 15 to 20 minutes or until onions are brown and very soft, stirring frequently. Cool.
- Combine onions, sour cream, buttermilk, mayonnaise, onion powder, and salt in a large bowl, stirring until blended. Cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate 30 minutes or up to 2 days.
- Serve dip with chips.
