Maui Onion Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 sweet onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream 
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 (14-oz) bag kettle chips

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions, and cook 15 to 20 minutes or until onions are brown and very soft, stirring frequently. Cool.
  2. Combine onions, sour cream, buttermilk, mayonnaise, onion powder, and salt in a large bowl, stirring until blended. Cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate 30 minutes or up to 2 days.
  3. Serve dip with chips.
