Ingredients

  • 2 (5.4-oz) ground beef patties
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 2 slices pepper Jack cheese
  • 2 hamburger buns
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • ½ red onion, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Sprinkle patties with salt and pepper. Grill, covered, 5 to 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink.
  2. Top each patty with 1 slice cheese; let stand 1 minute or until melted. Grill buns, cut sides down, 1 minute.
  3. Serve burgers on buns with tomato, onion, avocado, and cilantro.

  • ½ tsp lime zest
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 mango, peeled and diced
  • 1 small jicama, peeled and cut into thin strips

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Whisk together lime zest, lime juice, honey, cilantro, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add mango and jicama; toss.
