Spiced Turkey and Apple Breakfast Sausage
Maple Sweet Potato Home Fries
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 small apple, peeled and shredded
- 2 Tbsp finely chopped green onion
- 1½ tsp apple pie spice
- 1½ tsp crushed fennel seeds
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp rubbed sage
- ½ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Mix together all ingredients except oil in a large bowl. Shape into 2-inch patties.
- Cook patties, in 2 batches, in ½ Tbsp hot oil per batch in a large skillet over medium-high heat 4 minutes per side or until centers are no longer pink.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 lb sweet potatoes, cut into ½-inch wedges
- 1½ tsp maple syrup
- 1½ tsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss together all ingredients on a rimmed baking sheet; spread in a single layer.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until potatoes are browned and tender, stirring once halfway through baking.
