Ingredients

  • 2 lb top sirloin beef, cut into strips
  • 4 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
  • 2 (0.87-oz) envelopes brown gravy mix
  • 2 cups cold water
  • ¾ cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Season beef with salt and pepper, if desired. Melt 2 Tbsp butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef, and cook, in 2 batches, 5 minutes per batch or until browned. Remove from skillet.
  2. Melt remaining 2 Tbsp butter in skillet. Add onion and mushrooms; cook 5 minutes or until tender. Whisk together gravy mix and cold water in a bowl; add to onion mixture, and cook until mixture is thickened.
  3. Return beef to skillet; cook 2 minutes. Stir in sour cream.

  • 1 (12-oz) pkg wide egg noodles
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen green peas
  • 3 Tbsp butter

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook egg noodles and peas according to package directions. Stir butter into peas and season with salt and pepper, if desired.
