Unstuffed Skillet Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 1 (6-oz) pkg cornbread stuffing mix
  • 1½ cups water
  • 7 Tbsp butter, divided
  • ½ cup sweetened dried cranberries
  • 2¼ lb boneless pork chops
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ cup white wine 
  • 2 Honeycrisp apples, thinly sliced
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare stuffing mix according to package directions using water and 4 Tbsp butter; stir in cranberries.
  2. Meanwhile, sprinkle pork with salt and pepper. Melt 3 Tbsp butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook pork, in batches if necessary, 3 to 4 minutes per side or until browned.
  3. Add wine to skillet. Arrange apple and onion slices around pork. Sprinkle with stuffing mix. Cook, uncovered, 6 to 8 minutes or until pork is done.
