Smash Burger Crunchy Tacos

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 soft taco flour tortillas
  • 12 slices American cheese
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ⅓ cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Combine beef, seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce. Shape mixture into 12 balls. Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook beef, in 4 batches, in hot skillet 1 minute per batch. Smash patties with a metal spatula until very thin. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until edges are very brown; turn patties, smashing again with a spatula, and cook 2 to 3 minutes or until no longer pink. Remove each batch from skillet, and keep warm. Wipe skillet clean.
  3. Top each tortilla with 2 slices cheese and 2 patties. Fold tortillas over to form a taco .
  4. Cook tacos in 3 batches, in 1 Tbsp melted butter per batch, in skillet over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes per side or until tortillas are crisp.
  5. Meanwhile, stir together mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, and Dijon. Serve with crispy tacos.

  1. Bake onion rings according to package directions.
