Beef and Bean Chili

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 (15-oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15-oz) can Ranch style beans
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain well, and transfer to a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker.
  2. Stir in beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, pepper, salt, and water.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours, stirring occasionally; stir in cilantro.
