Beef and Bean Chili
Hot Cornbread
Ingredients
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 1 (15-oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15-oz) can Ranch style beans
- 1 (14.5-oz) can petite diced tomatoes
- 1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 Tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain well, and transfer to a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker.
- Stir in beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, pepper, salt, and water.
- Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours, stirring occasionally; stir in cilantro.

Side Dish Instructions
- Prepare cornbread according to package directions.
