Sesame-Crusted Tuna

Asian Cucumber, Radish, and Carrot Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb tuna steaks
  • 1 Tbsp less sodium soy sauce, divided
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds
  • ½ Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp light sour cream
  • 1½ Tbsp olive oil mayonnaise
  • ½ Tbsp prepared horseradish

Instructions

  1. Drizzle fish with ½ Tbsp soy sauce. Place sesame seeds in a shallow dish; coat fish with sesame seeds.
  2. Sear fish in hot oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 2 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
  3. Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, ½ Tbsp soy sauce, and horseradish in a bowl. Serve with steaks.

  • 3 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp dark sesame oil
  • ¼ lb radishes, thinly sliced
  • ½ lb carrots, cut into matchstick pieces
  • ½ English cucumber, cut into half moons
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Whisk together vinegar, honey, and oil in a bowl. Add radishes, carrots, cucumber, and parsley; toss. Chill until ready to serve.
