One-Dish Dinner
Shrimp and Broccoli Alfredo
Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg linguine
- 2 lb peeled and deveined large, raw shrimp
- 2 tsp garlic salt
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 1 (8-oz) block cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain, and keep warm.
- Meanwhile, sprinkle shrimp with garlic salt. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add shrimp, and cook just until shrimp are done. Remove from skillet.
- Add cream cheese, milk, and broth to skillet. Cook, whisking until blended. Add Parmesan, and whisk until cheese is melted.
- Meanwhile, steam broccoli according to package directions; coarsely chop.
- Add broccoli and shrimp to cheese mixture; toss. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Serve over pasta.
