Shrimp and Broccoli Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg linguine
  • 2 lb peeled and deveined large, raw shrimp
  • 2 tsp garlic salt
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 1 (8-oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain, and keep warm.
  2. Meanwhile, sprinkle shrimp with garlic salt. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add shrimp, and cook just until shrimp are done. Remove from skillet.
  3. Add cream cheese, milk, and broth to skillet. Cook, whisking until blended. Add Parmesan, and whisk until cheese is melted.
  4. Meanwhile, steam broccoli according to package directions; coarsely chop.
  5. Add broccoli and shrimp to cheese mixture; toss. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Serve over pasta.
