Chocolate Marble Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups butter, softened
  • 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • ⅓ cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • ½ cup plus 2 Tbsp cake flour
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened baking cocoa

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 12 to 15-cup Bundt pan with baking spray with flour.
  2. Beat butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla at medium speed with a mixer 10 minutes. Add eggs and egg yolks, one at a time, beating 1 minute after each addition until blended. Beat in buttermilk.
  3. Divide batter in half. To one half, fold in all-purpose flour and 2 Tbsp cake flour. Sift together ½ cup cake flour and cocoa and fold into remaining batter.
  4. Layer batter in prepared pan, alternating three times between chocolate and vanilla batters.
  5. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes; invert onto a wire rack, and cool completely.
