Ingredients
- 10 oz penne pasta
- 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, halved lengthwise
- 2 tsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
- ½ (8-oz) ball fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1 (0.5-oz) pkg fresh basil, separated into leaves and stemmed
- 6 Tbsp pesto
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, sprinkle chicken with seasoning. Cook in hot oil, in batches, in a large cast-iron skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat 4 to 5 minutes per side or until done. Let stand 5 minutes before thinly slicing.
- Divide pasta among 6 plates; top with chicken, tomatoes, cheese, and basil.
- Microwave pesto in a microwave-safe bowl at HIGH 30 seconds or until thoroughly heated; drizzle over chicken and pasta.
