Sweet Glazed Turkey Meatloaf

Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Steamed Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup less sodium chicken broth
  • 1½ lb lean ground turkey
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs 
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¾ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp dry rubbed sage
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Cook onion in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until tender; cool slightly.
  2. Gently mix together onion mixture, Worcestershire sauce, broth, turkey, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, sage, and eggs using your hands. Press mixture in a 9- x 5-inch loaf pan.
  3. Combine syrup and mustard; brush over loaf. Place loaf pan on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake 50 minutes to 1 hour or until meatloaf is no longer pink in center.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 3 large sweet potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt, divided
  • ½ tsp pepper, divided
  • 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Place potatoes on a baking sheet; bake 40 to 50 minutes or until tender.
  2. Scoop potato pulp into a bowl; add butter and ¼ tsp each salt and pepper. Mash to desired consistency.
  3. Meanwhile, cook broccoli according to package directions; sprinkle with ¼ tsp each salt and pepper.
