Chocolate Brownie Truffles

Ingredients
- 1 (18.4-oz) pkg fudge brownie mix
- ⅔ cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup water
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips
- 1 Tbsp vegetable shortening
- 1 tsp coarse salt
Instructions
- Prepare and bake brownies according to package directions using oil, water, and eggs. Cool completely on a wire rack.
- Place cooled brownies in a large bowl, and stir until smooth. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a small cookie scoop or ice cream scoop, scoop out small brownie balls, and roll into round balls; place on prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
- Meanwhile, combine chocolate and shortening in a small bowl; microwave in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth.
- Dip each brownie ball into chocolate, and return to pan. Sprinkle each truffle with salt, and refrigerate 15 minutes longer or until chocolate is hardened.
