Cheesy Smash Burgers
Ingredients
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup whole grain mustard
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- ¼ tsp smoked paprika
- 2 lb ground beef
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 12 slices American cheese
- 6 hamburger buns, split
- 6 leaves green leaf lettuce
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ cup hamburger dill chips
Instructions
- Stir together mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, vinegar, and paprika in a bowl; set aside.
- Combine beef, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder; shape mixture into 12 balls. Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook 3 balls of beef in hot skillet 1 minute. Smash patties with a metal spatula until very thin. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until edges are very brown; turn patties, smashing again with a spatula, and cook 2 to 3 minutes or until no longer pink.
- Top each with 1 cheese slice. Remove each batch from skillet, and keep warm. Repeat with remaining balls of beef.
- Serve 2 cheese-topped patties per bun with mayonnaise mixture, lettuce, onion, and pickles.
