Beefy Skillet Macaroni
Parmesan-Panko-Crusted Broccoli

Ingredients
- 1½ lb 90% lean ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- ½ (16-oz) pkg whole grain elbow macaroni
- 1½ cups fire roasted marinara sauce
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Brown beef, garlic, and onion in a large deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat; drain.
- Add macaroni, marinara sauce, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt, pepper, and water to skillet; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 25 minutes or until macaroni is tender; sprinkle with cheese.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1½ lb broccoli, cut into spears
- 3 Tbsp olive oil, divided
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss together broccoli, 2 Tbsp oil, crushed red pepper, and salt on a greased rimmed baking sheet.
- Bake 20 minutes or until broccoli is beginning to brown and is almost crisp-tender.
- Meanwhile, stir together breadcrumbs, cheese, and 1 Tbsp oil; sprinkle mixture over broccoli, pressing gently to adhere.
- Bake 5 minutes longer or until topping is browned.
